MS242

The Unitech MS242 is a compact magnetic stripe reader (100 x 35 x 30 mm) with a USB interface, compatible with PCs and Macs. It reads up to 3 tracks of data with bi-directional swiping, using a dual-head design rated for more than one million read cycles.

Programmable so its data format can be configured per application, it is suited to point of sale, access control, banking, student ID, and self-service uses. It can be desktop or wall mounted using brass threaded insert mounting holes or Velcro strips, and includes an LED indicator that alerts on decoding errors.
